Mufasa and Scar (Takabari) are full brothers, but in separate litters, with Mufasa being 5 years older than Scar. Sarafina and Moyo, Mufasa's twin brother and the Bravest of Scar's Royal Lion Guard, were betrothed when they were younger, but things didn't really work out between them, as they saw each other as acquaintances, and they ended up falling in love with different lions: Sarafina with Kufuata, a lion from her homeland that visits the Kiburi Pride Lands, and Moyo with Diku, one of Sarabi's sisters. Since Sarafina used to be a Princess, and Johari abdicated the throne and made a deal with Ahadi and Uru to live in the Kiburi Pride Lands, it was then decided that her and Mufasa would betroth Nala and Simba to each other. Scar's story on how he got his scar over his left eye was for the most part, made up to manipulate Ushari to do his bidding and "hurt" Kiongozi.
