Kupata was an older cub when he found out he was betrothed to princess Kaluwa of the Kiburi Lands, Which meant he had to marry her. He thought it was not right, that he shouldn't have to marry her, but he felt powerless.
Thus, he married her, but when his Daughter was born, he refused to betroth her, because he wanted her to find her own love, which he felt was right. Kaluwa tried to object, but since King Kupata of the Mchanga Pride's word is law, she wouldn't anything about it. Thus, He does what he thinks is right..
